Pēpi Room Kaiako/Teacher

Early learning / kōhanga reo, Certificated teacher Belonging / Mana Whenua, Contribution / Mana Tangata, Communication / Mana Reo, Exploration / Mana Aotūroa, Well-being / Mana Atua We are looking for a warm, calm and capable qualified kaiako to join our beautiful pēpi room at Small Sprouts Early Learning. Small Sprouts is a small, privately owned early learning centre in Stanmore Bay. Our pēpi room is licensed for a maximum of 10 children, with strong ratios, a supportive team and a nurturing environment where relationships, care routines and respectful practice sit at the heart of everything we do. We are inspired by RIE, Pikler, and Te Whāriki, and we are looking for someone who genuinely loves working with infants and toddlers. You will be part of a collaborative, hardworking and heart‑led team who value calm care, initiative, professionalism and strong relationships with tamariki, whānau and each other. Qualifications Is a qualified and registered ECE teacher (Provisional welcome) Has a genuine passion for working with pēpi and toddlers Understands the importance of respectful care routines Is warm, reliable, calm and professional Shows initiative and enjoys being part of a team Values strong relationships with tamariki and whānau Is open to learning, reflecting and growing in their practice Benefits Full Pay Parity Excellent ratios and a maximum of 10 children in the pēpi room Supportive leadership and experienced kaiako to work alongside A collaborative and caring team culture A RIE inspired environment with a strong focus on respectful practice This is a permanent position.
