Job Description

This is a highly regulated, fast-paced environment where safety, quality, and precision are critical. This is a well-established manufacturing plant that produces products that support animal health. What you'll be doing: Acting as the primary point of contact for contractors on site Coordinating contractor activity across maintenance, upgrades, and project work Issuing and managing permits to work (hot work, confined space, isolations, working at heights, etc.) Ensuring all contractor activity aligns with H & S, GMP, and site compliance requirements Conducting contractor inductions and verifying documentation (certifications, JSAs, SWMS) Liaising closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to minimise disruption Monitoring work in progress and maintaining strong safety oversight Carrying out regular site checks and monthly audits to ensure compliance and identify improvements Keeping accurate records and ensuring all documentation meets audit standards What you'll bring Experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, animal health, or food processing environment Strong understanding of permit systems and NZ Health and Safety legislation Exposure to GMP or regulated production environments is highly advantageous Excellent communication skills— you can confidently engage with contractors and internal teams A proactive, detail-focused mindset with the ability to identify and manage risks Strong organisational skills and confidence working with systems and documentation What's in it for you?
