Job Description
Roles and Locations At our rural hospitals (Kaitaia, Dargaville, Bay of Islands), we are looking for clinicians to join our team as we transform health care provisions to the Tai Tokerau community. Rural Hospital Medicine ("RHM") Specialists Dual‑trained RHM/FACEMs FACEMs with rural hospital experience Rural GPs with ED and ward experience Urgent Care Specialists with rural hospital experience General Medicine Specialists Ideally, you will have a postgraduate qualification in Point‑of‑Care Ultrasound and be comfortable working flexibly with a small team of nurses and allied health professionals. Hospital Overview Dargaville Hospital – 12 bed inpatient unit, emergency department, laboratory, ultrasound, X‑ray, oncology, pre‑ and post‑natal birthing care, allied health services and a range of outpatient and community services. Bay of Islands Hospital – 20 bed inpatient unit, emergency department, laboratory, ultrasound, X‑ray, oncology and renal unit, primary birthing unit, allied health services and outpatient services. Kaitaia Hospital – 20 bed inpatient unit, emergency department, laboratory, ultrasound, X‑ray, oncology and renal unit, primary birthing unit, allied health services and outpatient services. Qualifications Applicants must hold or be eligible for specialist registration with the NewZealand Medical Council (MCNZ) in a relevant vocational scope of practice.
