Location Based at one of our principal regional offices in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington or Christchurch, reporting to the National Submissions Manager. Role Overview You will develop and lead bid strategies, plans, and programmes for a diverse portfolio of opportunities ranging from $5M+ to $100M+. Collaborate with a wide array of business units, subject matter experts, and senior professionals to craft compelling, tailored, and winning submission content. Take ownership of compliant, structured, and impactful proposals that align with client and project requirements. Contribute to the ongoing refinement and innovation of our systems and processes, ensuring continuous improvement and excellence. Serve as a key contributor to the company's strategic growth, driving competitive advantages through high‑quality submissions. About You Previous experience in bid writing, ideally in construction, civil engineering, or related industries, or demonstrated experience in a writing‑intensive role producing high‑quality, persuasive or technical content under deadlines. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively. Strong multitasking abilities, coupled with excellent organisational and time‑management skills to meet tight and consistent deadlines. Ability to influence and lead from the front, and manage submission teams to ensure timely delivery of deadlines. A positive, proactive, and can‑do attitude, with a strong sense of initiative and personal drive. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and systems. A collaborative approach, fostering strong relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
