Job Description
Overview Be the go‑to person for high‑quality administrative support across NZTA teams. Permanent role based in Wellington with a hybrid working environment. Key Responsibilities Provide responsive, timely and high‑quality administrative support to managers and teams across NZTA Waka Kotahi. Support meetings, events, financial administration and business processes. Work closely with the wider Administration Services team to ensure consistency, efficiency and high standards across the organisation. Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and learn new systems. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience in a broad administration role supporting multiple stakeholders. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet deadlines. Experience coordinating meetings, events and stakeholder engagement activities. Strong digital capability, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new systems quickly. A proactive, solutions‑focused approach and ability to work under pressure. Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information. A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn and adapt. Knowledge of, or willingness to develop an understanding of Te Ao Māori, tikanga, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and how these apply in the public sector.
