As we prepare for the new contract commencing 1 July 2026, Citycare Water Dunedin has an opportunity for a Team Leader in our Potable Water Team. This is an exciting time to join us - the new 10-year contract provides long-term stability, meaningful career pathways, and the chance to be part of a team delivering essential services for the Dunedin community. About the job: We’re looking for an experienced Network Inspector to join our team in Dunedin . Responsibilities: Inspecting network assets across water, stormwater, and wastewater systems Identifying issues like leaks, blockages, and defects Undertaking activities such as scouring Water Programmes and individual sites on the Water Retic Networks, operating and determining the condition of valves in Water Reticulation and Wastewater Networks Supporting critical water maintenance including hydrant testing and valve checks Recording data using mobile tools and contributing to accurate reporting Working closely with team leaders and admin to help keep the network running smoothly Completing water meter checks and identifying unusual usage What you’ll need: Strong observational skills and attention to detail Confidence working independently and as part of a team Reliability, communication skills, and a willingness to learn Experience with Dunedin City Council infrastructure or utilities is advantageous You will need to be physically fit, health and safety focused and work well in a team as well as independently. A full class 1 licence and an ability to drive a manual is also essential.
