About the Role A minimum of 2 years post-registration general surgical / medical / acute care nursing experience This role offers plenty of variety across all wards/units/shifts Extended training in a variety of specialties to support your professional and personal development across the clinical environments. About the Team/Location The VRM permanent resource pool team play an important role in responding to the acute needs of the wards and departments and requires you to practice both independently and in collaboration with your nursing colleagues and other health professionals to assess consumers health needs. You will utilise your advanced knowledge and experience in general surgical/medical/acute care nursing to provide quality care, advice and support consumers to manage their own health. Our team has continued to grow to meet service needs, and we have a 0.8FTE position available working 64 hours a fortnight. This position will work all three shifts, mornings, afternoon and night shifts across a variety of wards/units at Nelson Hospital. About You Are you an experienced RN or EN with a can-do attitude and the flexibility to adapt to a changing and dynamic clinical environment daily? If so, then a VRM Resource Pool role could be the ideal next step for you! You will have current NZNC registration and a practising certificate and will be a vibrant and enthusiastic registered nurse or enrolled nurse with at least 2 years post-registration general surgical / medical / acute care nursing experience. It will be important that you have a commitment to providing a quality service and being part of a high performing team. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills and will enjoy keeping up to date with clinical practice.
