Job Description

Job Overview Join KiwiStar Optics to develop, design, manufacture, and test high precision optical components and opto‑mechanical assemblies. Responsibilities Understand relevant skills, processes and equipment for manufacturing high precision optical components. Design and manufacture custom tooling for optical component manufacturing. Review project instructions, specifications and drawings to plan fabrication and testing of precision optical components and opto‑mechanical assemblies. Ensure compliance with specifications. Set up, test and measure optical components using metrology and optical testing equipment. Accurately interpret and record measurement data and test results. Assist in the assembly, integration, alignment and testing of opto‑mechanical assemblies. Perform routine preventative maintenance of tools and equipment as required. Maintain the general tidiness and cleanliness of workshop areas and machinery. Take responsibility for personal and others’ health and safety, acting in accordance with H&S policies, procedures, and systems. Promote health and safe behaviours at work. Act as an advocate, ambassador and champion representing KiwiStar Optics within industry and external stakeholders. Perform other duties as required.
