ARC 2027 - TGA Obstetrics & Gynaecology Advanced Trainee Registrar

Job Overview O&G Registrar – Advanced Trainee (Tauranga Hospital), full‑time role commencing February2027. This advanced training position offers the opportunity to progress to a Senior O&G Registrar within a supportive and dynamic department. Responsibilities During the course of the placement you will spend six months in Generalist Gynaecology Advanced Training and six months in Generalist Obstetric Advanced Training, with opportunities to pursue other Advanced Training Modules (ATM). You will attend colposcopy clinics and become C‑Quip accredited. An on‑call roster involving a 1:7 rotation of long days, weekends and nights will provide ample opportunities for independent practice under consultant oversight. Active involvement in education and audit will also be required. Qualifications The role is suitable for level5/6 trainees who have completed or are about to complete core training by January2027. Candidates should have a strong interest in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology, excellent communication skills, an ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to professional growth and the education and development of junior staff.
