TeWhiwhingamahi | The opportunity Our Summer Internship Programme is designed to give you real-world experience, meaningful work, and opportunities to learn from some of the best people in the industry. As an OCX Retail Intern, you’ll join our Retail business and help improve the way we support customers through technology, insights, innovation and human‑centred thinking. We have three exciting internship opportunities available in Wellington across our Customer Wellbeing and Insights teams. You could be working on projects that support affordability, complaints, vulnerable consumers, customer experience, business optimisation, dashboards, AI‑enabled solutions or strategic insights. From day one, you’ll be involved in real work that helps create better outcomes for our customers and supports Contact’s ambitions for Aotearoa. Depending on the role, you will be involved in: Gathering stakeholder requirements and working with frontline teams and subject matter experts to understand business challenges and customer pain points. Building or improving practical solutions such as AI‑enabled tools, dashboards, reporting, frameworks, communications or engagement resources. Analysing data, researching trends and turning information into clear insights, visualisations and recommendations that support better decision making. Testing, refining and presenting your outputs to stakeholders, with the goal of creating something tangible that can continue to add value after your internship. No two internships are the same, but every intern has the opportunity to learn, grow and make a genuine impact. You’ll be supported to build your capability, grow your network and create practical outcomes you can put your name to. Kowaikoe| About you We are seeking applications from students studying Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Commerce, Information Systems, or another technical or analytical discipline with commercial awareness. We're equally interested in students from backgrounds such as Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Organisational Development, Marketing, or related fields, where you can demonstrate strong curiosity, research skills, commercial awareness, and an interest in understanding people and improving customer outcomes.
