Senior Design Engineer

ConsultANZ is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for a leading civil company with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across New Zealand. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex temporary works and structural design projects across major civil infrastructure, alongside an experienced and collaborative engineering team. Responsibilities Deliver structural and temporary works designs for civil infrastructure projects Design temporary works solutions including formwork, falsework, shoring, and support systems Apply constructability principles and innovative construction methods to improve safety, efficiency, and cost outcomes Prepare engineering calculations, design drawings, and technical documentation to a high standard Collaborate with site and project teams to ensure designs are practical, safe, and buildable Liaise with multidisciplinary teams and report to senior engineering leadership Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) 5+ years’ experience as a Structural Design Engineer Experience in Temporary Works Engineering within civil infrastructure projects, including design of temporary works solutions and strong understanding of construction practices and constructability principles Proficiency in AutoCAD Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Permanent full-time role based in Auckland or Wellington Opportunity to work on major civil infrastructure and temporary works projects Supportive team environment with strong technical development and career growth opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr
