West Coast - Greymouth Permanent Part‑time role working 20 hours per week Monday to Friday Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders. We are seeking an experienced Quality, Risk and Credentialling Coordinator to join our Quality Team and play a key role in supporting safe, high‑quality healthcare services across the West Coast. This role is responsible for coordinating service credentialling processes, supporting organisational risk management activities, and providing quality and governance support across Te Tai o Poutini WestCoast. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee service credentialling and re‑credentialling processes, ensuring compliance with Health NZ policies, clinical governance requirements, and regulatory standards. Maintain credentialling registers, documentation, and reporting processes, while monitoring review timeframes and credentialling requirements. Support the identification, assessment, monitoring, and escalation of clinical, operational, and organisational risks. Analyse risk trends and prepare reports for quality, risk, and governance committees to support informed decision‑making. Provide advice and support to clinical and operational leaders regarding credentialling, risk management, scope of practice, and governance requirements. Work alongside the Quality Team to support investigations, quality improvement activities, audits, accreditation requirements, and organisational learning. Assist in developing and delivering education and resources to improve staff understanding of risk management, quality systems, and credentialling processes. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. About You A relevant tertiary qualification in health, quality, risk, management, or equivalent experience. Experience in healthcare quality, risk management, clinical governance, credentialling, or a related field. Experience preparing governance‑level reports and supporting audits, accreditation, or assurance activities. Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills. Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and continuous learning. Desirable Experience implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice. Clinical background or understanding of clinical scopes of practice. Experience with audit, accreditation, quality improvement methodologies (e.g. RCA, PDSA, LEAN), or healthcare governance. Experience delivering education, training, or capability‑building initiatives.
