The Opportunity: EPIT is a specialist service providing assessment, treatment, and recovery-focused support for adolescents and young adults (under 30 years) experiencing a first episode of psychosis. We also deliver early intervention for tangata whaiora at high risk of developing a psychotic illness, alongside consultation and liaison support to primary care partners. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will support young people and their whānau on their recovery journey through meaningful engagement, evidence-based assessments and interventions, and a strong strengths-based approach aligned with the Early Intervention model. You will take a lead role in developing and facilitating group-based interventions, while collaborating with NGO partners to enhance opportunities and outcomes for young people. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will work alongside established team leadership to provide clinical leadership championing the early intervention model, role‑modeling best practice, and supporting new staff to build confidence and capability. You will play a key role in lifting practice standards and contributing to ongoing service development.
