Kinloch, Glenorchy | Full time, permanent | From $85,000 per annum | September 2026 start Kinloch Wilderness Retreat is a premium wilderness lodge on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, encompassing Kinloch Wilderness Retreat, Glenorchy Lake House, EcoScapes, Whare Pūwaha and the Fernery restaurant, plus our on‑site activities programme. We also own Akin, our café in Glenorchy township, 26km away. We’re looking for a General Manager to take on day‑to‑day leadership across the whole operation, so the owners can step back from running it personally. This is a genuine keystone hire. You’ll own the budget and seasonal staffing model, lead a supervisor team across accommodation, food and beverage, housekeeping and activities at Kinloch, and across Akin in Glenorchy, and carry our sustainability and compliance commitments forward. You’ll work through KinlochBrain, our AI‑centric operations system that runs guest communications, staffing, compliance and reporting across the business, so real comfort with systems and data matters here, not just hospitality instinct.
