Job Description
Key Responsibilities Lead long‑term planning that supports the future of the region’s water networks at the systems level. Develop Network Management Plans and translate complex risk, performance, and growth challenges into investment recommendations. Support evidence‑based planning that is environmentally responsible and aligned with regulatory expectations. Work closely with operational and technical teams to guide critical investigations and support robust decision‑making. This is a full‑time position of 40 hours per week. The remuneration range for this role is $108,644 to $153,379 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience. Opportunity As a Senior Engineer Asset Planning, Networks, you’ll operate at the systems level – understanding how our networks perform, where risks emerge, and how today’s investment decisions shape service outcomes and resilience over time. Our job is to provide safe and healthy drinking water, collect and treat wastewater, and ensure the stormwater network is well managed. We’re a multi‑council owned entity, tasked to manage the infrastructure and deliver water services to our communities. From 1 July 2026, a new chapter in water services begins. Tiaki Wai will take over responsibility for providing Three Waters Services to approximately 433,000 residents across the Wellington metro regions.
