Job Description
This is not a role for someone who likes maintaining the status quo. At McFall Fuel, we're growing, evolving, and investing in our people like never before. We're looking for an Organisational Development Manager who is excited by the opportunity to help build something meaningful, someone who sees possibility where others see complexity and thrives in the space between strategy and execution. You’ll join a small but mighty People & Safety team with a big mandate and genuine backing and support from leaders who want to make a difference. This is a greenfields opportunity in many respects. The foundations are there, but there's significant scope to design, influence, create, improve and leave your mark on the future of our business. You’ll lead initiatives across leadership development, learning, capability frameworks, performance, engagement, workforce planning and organisational effectiveness. One day you might be facilitating a leadership workshop, the next you're shaping capability pathways, designing talent frameworks, supporting organisational change, or helping leaders solve complex people challenges. We're looking for someone who is comfortable operating in the grey. Someone who doesn't need every boundary clearly defined. Someone who is naturally curious, commercially minded, and energised by figuring things out. You’ll be at your best if you're optimistic - someone who sees challenges as opportunities, enjoys partnering with leaders across the business, and gets genuine satisfaction from helping people and teams perform at their best. You’ll spend time connecting with our people across New Zealand, so some travel is part of the role. We believe the best solutions come from understanding the realities of the business, not just sitting behind a desk. What You’ll Bring You'll have experience in organisational development, learning, leadership, culture, engagement, or workforce capability, but more importantly you'll bring a mindset that says: "There's a better way, let's build it." Experience across both large and medium‑sized organisations, with the ability to adapt it into pragmatic, right‑sized solutions for a growing SME. You’ll be comfortable collaborating well and influencing at all levels, using data and insights to guide decisions, and turning broad business priorities into practical, impactful initiatives that stick. You’ll Love This Role If You Enjoy creating rather than maintaining Like solving problems that don't come with a manual Are energised by growth and change Build strong relationships and credibility quickly Can move between strategic thinking and hands‑on delivery Want your work to have visible, lasting impact Why McFall? Because this is the sort of role you look back on in five years and feel genuinely proud. Proud of the leaders you helped develop. Proud of the capability frameworks you built. Proud of the culture initiatives you championed. Proud of the teams and individuals who are stronger because of your contribution. If you're looking for an opportunity to help shape the future of a growing New Zealand business, work alongside great people, and leave a legacy that matters, we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
