About the role Join the dedicated team at the 5‑star Park Hyatt Auckland as a Guest Service Officer – Front Office. This full‑time, permanent role is based in the heart of Auckland CBD and plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our discerning guests. What you’ll be doing Provide a warm and friendly welcome to all guests, ensuring a seamless check‑in and check‑out experience Assist guests with enquiries and requests, anticipating their needs to exceed expectations Manage guest accounts, process payments, and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately Keep detailed records and maintain an organized filing system Actively promote the hotel’s facilities, services and special offers to guests Collaborate with other departments to resolve guest issues and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations What we’re looking for 1–2 years of experience in a front‑office or customer‑service role, ideally within the hotel industry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanour Strong problem‑solving abilities and confidence to handle difficult situations with tact Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and front‑office operations (preferably Opera) Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays Legal working rights in New Zealand What we offer At Park Hyatt Auckland, you’ll enjoy a competitive wage, discounted accommodation at Hyatt hotels worldwide, and opportunities for career development and internal progression.
