Location Wellington Regional Hospital and Hutt Valley Contract Fixed term (12 months) – Full Time About the Role This role will focus on initiatives that improve patient flow, reduce clinical risk, and enhance care, while aligning with constraints in funding, workforce, space, and infrastructure. It is critical to translating recommendations into practical, sustainable service improvements to ensure project objectives and business needs are met. Key deliverables include: Women-centred care that meets rights and needs; Safe, high-quality clinical outcomes; Strong quality assurance and system performance; Equitable access and outcomes for all populations; Embedding the principles of TeTiritioWaitangi. What You’ll Be Doing Leading multiple high‑impact workstreams that improve patient flow and service delivery Partnering with clinical and operational leaders from across the District to implement new models of care Driving measurable improvements in ED performance and hospital flow Building strong, collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams Embedding equity‑focused approaches into service design and delivery Salary Salary band: $104,179 to $130,223, depending on experience. About the Team/Service/Location Reporting to the Group Manager, Women's and Children's Directorate, Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley. The role provides project support for the Women's Health Service Flow Project implementation. The Women's Health Service sits within the Directorate at Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley District and provides inpatient and outpatient primary, secondary and tertiary clinical and maternity services to women in Wellington, Hutt Valley and Central region with approximately 5,000 births occurring each year.
