Youth Worker

The role We’re looking for a savvy and energised youth worker to join our growing service. The position is full‑time and based in Manurewa, Auckland. Working hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; Tuesday and Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM. Location Manurewa, Auckland. Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate up to $32.30 per hour Increased Employer KiwiSaver contribution Fifth Week of Annual Leave Paid Wellbeing days (2 days a year) HealthNow payment card – $250 per year to support health and wellbeing for you and your whānau Holiday programme assistance and others Responsibilities Support young people aged 12‑24 to build confidence, resilience and wellbeing. Assist in developing life skills and build strong connections with schools, employers, whānau and friends. Deliver the Real Talk programme and other youth support groups. Qualifications Hold a Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent, or be studying towards one. Previous experience in youth work, social work, mental health and addiction is preferred. Understanding of trauma‑informed care and experience working with young people. Current full New Zealand driver’s licence. Current New Zealand first aid certificate or willingness to obtain one. Knowledge of and commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
