Job Description
About the role You will be a key member of a team that provides expert advice, with deep understanding of IR’s Primary Services as well as analysing external technology trends that can be applied to IR. You will use your architecture expertise to design and implement solutions in response to change, ensuring technology initiatives align with IR’s intended outcomes and strategic direction. You will work closely with IR’s Business and Technical Architects to ensure solutions are developed and delivered coherently, securely and sustainably. Location Wellington, Auckland or Christchurch. Responsibilities Contribute technology architecture expertise when designing and implementing solutions across all of IR. Explore and recommend technology solution options and approaches. Utilise extensive knowledge and awareness of data and information technologies, trends, and standards to guide IR’s data and information architecture journey. Apply your solution architecture knowledge, particularly in areas supported by E&IS (such as financial services, ERP, payroll, and accounting systems), to design solutions that add value across the wider IR ecosystem, whilst ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture standards. Support the business with building and maintaining technology roadmaps. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Security, CISO, Infrastructure, and other platform teams to design and deliver enterprise‑grade solutions. Support project delivery by providing solution oversight and guidance to manage the complexities of day‑to‑day execution. Qualifications Experience working as a solution architect in a large organisation; government experience is desirable. Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP, EPM) is required. Experience leading ERP, data, and information architecture strategies and initiatives. Experience with cloud‑based technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) as well as New Zealand corporate payroll systems is desirable. Exposure to, or experience working with, AI technologies or supporting AI‑enabled initiatives is desirable. A strong understanding of technology trends, and the ability to apply these in an Inland Revenue context. The ability to work with and influence senior Inland Revenue stakeholders, and navigate governance processes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
