Plastics Fabricator | South Auckland Tradestaff Mount Wellington is seeking an experienced Plastics Fabricator to join a well-established Auckland manufacturer specialising in innovative environmental and industrial solutions. Based in Wiri, this role offers excellent rates, good hours, and the opportunity to work on a diverse range of specialised fabrication projects. What's on offer? $32.21 - $39.50 per hour, depending on experience Immediate start available for the right person Up to 42 hours per week Monday to Thursday: 9-hour days Friday: 6-hour day Modern manufacturing environment Supportive and experienced team Opportunity to further develop specialist fabrication skills Location Wiri, Auckland 2104 About the role Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you'll be responsible for the fabrication, assembly and welding of thermoplastic products and systems. This role requires a strong eye for detail, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Duties will include: Reading and interpreting workshop drawings Fabricating and assembling plastic products Plastic welding and finishing Pattern development and layout work Quality control and dimensional verification Completing fabrication documentation Assisting with site installations when required Maintaining a safe and organised workspace What we're looking for Previous fabrication experience, ideally within plastics fabrication or a related engineering trade Experience reading and working from technical drawings Strong practical workshop skillsHigh attention to detail Commitment to health and safety Current driver's licence Forklift licence advantageous Experience working with PE, PP or PVC materials and welding techniques such as extrusion welding, hot air welding, butt welding, socket fusion or electrofusion will be highly regarded.
