Drainlayer/Drainer (Civil Infrastructure)

Key Qualifications and Mandatory Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working abroad (overseas)
  • Proven track record of overseas employment. Must provide supporting documents, including:
    • Certificate of Employment (COE)
    • Employment Contract
    • Letter from Employer
    • Pay slips
    • Company ID
    • Residence Permit, etc.
  • Valid Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from country of work/residence for more than 5 years
  • Very good verbal and written English communications skills
  • Valid driver's license

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with PVC pipe and large concrete pipes also (using drainage machine like ditch witches and verneer etc.)
  • Install and maintain large-scale civil drainage systems including stormwater networks, culverts, manholes, and underground pipelines for roading and infrastructure projects
  • Operate safely around deep excavations, read plans and levels, and work closely with machine operators and civil crews to ensure installations meet engineering specifications and project requirements
  • With experience in underground utilities, pipeline installation, stormwater, sewer, watermain and civil infrastructure work
  • Pipe Layers, Utility Workers, Pipeline Installers, Sewer Workers or Civil Construction Water Workers
  • With large scale civil experience
  • Stormwater, sewer and watermain installation
  • Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP), HDPE and PVC pipe installation
  • Culvert installation
  • Manhole installation, including concrete benching and inverts
  • Catchpit/catch basin construction
  • Deep trenching, open benching, trench boxes and shoring
  • Pipe bedding, haunching, backfilling and compaction
  • Reading drainage plans and using pipe lasers or laser levels
  • With experience working on subdivisions, roading or other civil infrastructure projects
