Scope of Work This internship with the Christchurch Transportation Team offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the investigation, design, and construction of transportation infrastructure projects while working alongside a supportive and motivated team. Typical Tasks Assist with traffic impact assessments for future development projects. Participate in road safety investigations. Utilise AutoCAD to create and modify concept plans in a digital format. Prepare reports and other essential engineering documentation. Participate in meetings and discussions with clients and contractors to facilitate effective project coordination. Conduct site visits to observe and monitor construction activities, providing valuable insights for ongoing design projects. Assist in ensuring quality assurance during the construction phase of projects. Gain exposure to project management and project technical leadership. Qualifications Second or third year of study. Preferably a full clean current driving licence. Studying a Bachelor of Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology. Able to commence work from 23rd November 2026 to 12th February 2027.
