As a Test Director, you are responsible for the end-to-end quality assurance and testing strategy across multiple clients, ensuring solutions are robust, fit for purpose, and ready for production. Working in close collaboration with the testing partner, Solution Lead, and Delivery Lead, you will ensure that testing is thorough, well-coordinated, and consistently aligned across all platforms and delivery streams. You will own confidence in the solution, ensuring that defects, risks, and quality issues are identified early and managed effectively through to go-live. Your day-to-day could include: Responsibilities Test Strategy & Ownership – Own end-to-end strategy across platforms; align with internal standards and define scope and success criteria Planning & Execution – Lead integrated test planning (SIT, UAT, BPT, non-functional) aligned to delivery milestones Quality & Governance – Enforce quality standards; oversee coverage, defects, and entry/exit criteria across teams Defect & Risk Management – Drive prioritisation, tracking, and resolution of defects; mitigate systemic risks Environments & Test Data – Ensure fit-for-purpose environments and secure, available test data Release Readiness – Assess go-live readiness, manage quality gates, and advise on release risk Stakeholder Engagement – Act as testing authority; communicate progress, risks, and build confidence Qualifications Senior test leadership experience on large-scale transformation programmes Proven delivery of end-to-end testing in complex, multi-platform environments, including legacy integration Experience in government or regulated environments (desirable) Strong capability in test strategy, planning, and end-to-end delivery Expertise in non-functional testing (performance, security, resilience) Sound knowledge of test automation and modern QA practices Demonstrated experience leading large-scale SIT and UAT Effective leadership of distributed teams and vendor ecosystems Risk-based, detail-oriented approach to quality Ability to balance quality outcomes with delivery timelines Clear and confident communicator with senior stakeholders Benefits Rewards – Discretionary bonus opportunities; generous referral bonuses; retail discounts & deals Growth – Global network; leadership development; A.I. tools and training; formal learning pathways Wellbeing – $250 annual wellbeing allowance; Life & income protection; Sonder/EAP/Headspace; 15 days’ paid sick leave; group-rate health insurance (eligibility applies) Reputation – PwC is known for shaping tomorrow.
