We are on the lookout for a Christchurch-based Interior Design Lead to drive the design and delivery of interior architecture projects, ensuring they align with the vision for our villages. This role combines project delivery, technical leadership and people leadership, overseeing both conceptual and detailed design processes while ensuring all designs meet regulatory standards and deliver exceptional outcomes for our residents. Other key responsibilities but are not limited to: Lead interior design delivery across new build developments and existing village projects, ensuring designs align with Ryman's vision and standards. Manage external interior design consultants, specialist suppliers and key stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Own and maintain interior design standards, finish palettes, FF&E standards, room data sheets and specification libraries. Oversee interior design documentation and Revit deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time, to a high standard and within budget. Coordinate FF&E procurement including product selection, substitutions, lead times, warranties and lifecycle considerations. Review design packages to ensure quality, compliance, functionality and an exceptional resident experience. Identify and manage design, procurement, programme and commercial risks while supporting value management initiatives. Provide specialist interior design advice and technical leadership across the business. What's in it for you? You have proven experience leading and delivering interior design projects, ideally across retirement living, aged care, healthcare, hospitality, residential or complex commercial environments. You are an experienced Interior Designer with strong commercial project delivery experience and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously. You have proven experience coordinating and managing external consultants, suppliers and FF&E procurement activities. You have a strong understanding of interior documentation, FF&E, finishes, product specification and design standards. You are highly proficient in Revit and have experience using BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud. You have a strong understanding of New Zealand construction and procurement processes, along with relevant regulatory requirements and construction standards.
