Job Description

Remuneration Analyst / Advisor (12-month fixed term, 20 hours per week) This role is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract providing meaningful work in the growth sector of energy. You will work 20 hours per week, part‑time, supporting fair, evidence‑based pay decisions across Transpower. About the team The Talent and Capability team is a centre of excellence within the People Division. It designs and delivers organisation‑wide programmes that help Transpower attract, retain, develop and engage a diverse, high‑performing workforce. Responsibilities Prepare remuneration analysis and support annual and mid‑year remuneration review processes. Maintain accurate remuneration‑related data and documentation. Provide advice within established frameworks to ensure consistent, data‑driven pay decisions. Build depth in Korn Ferry job evaluation; work with stakeholders to understand roles and prepare evaluation rationales. Participate in moderation discussions and maintain accurate records of job evaluations. Apply remuneration frameworks to assess pay positioning, internal relativities and equity considerations. Participate in external remuneration surveys, including data validation and submission. Conduct Korn Ferry job evaluations and prepare supporting documentation. Maintain job evaluation, position and remuneration data so it remains accurate, current and useful. Contribute to continuous improvement across HR data, remuneration and related processes. Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification, Korn Ferry job evaluation training and at least two years of practical experience applying the methodology. Experience in remuneration analysis, remuneration processes and reporting. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, strong numerical capability and good attention to detail. Confidence working with systems such as HRIS, payroll or remuneration. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly for managers, HR colleagues and other stakeholders. Strong analytical mindset, sound judgement, and ability to work with confidential information carefully and professionally. Excellent time management, prioritisation and expectation management ability. Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
