Sector Manager - Primary Sector Growth & Sustainability - Toitģō Envirocare Lead growth. Drive impact. Demand for climate, sustainability and decarbonisation services is accelerating. Toitģō is well positioned to help organisations respond, and we're looking for a commercially minded leader to grow our Primary Sector portfolio. This is not a traditional sustainability role. You'll combine sustainability expertise with commercial acumen to identify new opportunities, build trusted client relationships and drive sustainable growth. As a senior leader within our Client team, you'll shape sector strategy, strengthen our market presence and work alongside our science, advisory, audit and programme teams to deliver meaningful outcomes for clients. This role is based in one of our main centres (Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch), with a minimum of two days per week in the office. The Opportunity As Sector Manager, you'll lead the commercial growth and success of the Primary Sector portfolio by: Developing and executing sector strategy to achieve sustainable revenue and margin growth. Winning new business while strengthening long-term client relationships. Partnering with our science, advisory, audit and programme teams to deliver world‑class climate and sustainability solutions. Building trusted executive relationships with clients, partners and industry leaders while representing Toitģō in the market. This role is ideal for a commercially minded sustainability leader who is equally comfortable in a boardroom, on a farm, in a processing plant or meeting with senior executives to discuss growth opportunities. What We're Looking For You are a commercially savvy, networked leader with a strong track record of growing sectors and client portfolios. You'll bring: 10+ years' experience in senior commercial, business development, client leadership or sector leadership roles. Deep sustainability, climate or environmental experience within the primary, manufacturing, food production, forestry or transport sectors. A proven track record of generating revenue, winning new business and delivering growth. Experience managing strategic, enterprise‑level client relationships. Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, profitability and contract negotiation. The ability to engage credibly with executives, C‑suite, board‑level, operational leaders and sustainability professionals. Exceptional stakeholder engagement, influencing and leadership capability. A genuine passion for helping organisations create positive environmental impact while achieving business success.
