About the role As a Trainer you will deliver prescribed training to diverse audiences across the electorate, ensuring Voting Place kaimahi understand their roles and excel in them. You will work remotely or from an Electorate Headquarters, be available outside regular business hours, including weekends, and may need to travel. Full training is provided. About you Preferred experience as a trainer or facilitator with excellent planning, communication, and people skills. You thrive in complex environments, can work independently or as part of a team, and have a commitment to cultural competency. What you'll be doing Collaborate with the Recruitment and Rostering Manager and Electorate Manager to facilitate training for Voting Place kaimahi. Prepare and set up training areas according to guidelines. Attend training sessions to familiarize yourself with materials and delivery requirements. Complete necessary training and eLearning. Conduct evaluations of participants and provide constructive feedback to management. Deliver nationally prescribed training within the allocated time and ensure successful outcomes. What you'll need to succeed Ability to present using a variety of forms, particularly PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including pronunciation of te reo Māori. Experience delivering training with nationally prescribed strategies and materials. Proven ability to train a diverse and culturally inclusive audience. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships. Integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to handle sensitive information. Action‑oriented mindset with a drive for results and initiative. Methodical and disciplined approach to training delivery within set timelines.
