Job Description The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Submissions Manager to join our Energy & Utilities Growth team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development of compelling, client-focused submissions for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), Requests for Tender (RFTs), and other bid-related opportunities across Australia and New Zealand. Working closely with Bid Managers, operational subject matter experts and key stakeholders, you will drive the development of high-quality, compliant submissions that clearly articulate Downer's value proposition and support successful business growth outcomes. Leading the writing and production of compliant and compelling bid submissions, presentations and new business content. Interviewing SMEs and conducting research to develop persuasive, evidence-based responses. Developing win themes and ensuring they are consistently reflected throughout submissions. Managing tender queries, client clarifications and submission documentation Coordinating review processes and ensuring content quality through bronze, silver and gold review gates. Working with graphic designers to create visually engaging submission materials. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to best-practice bidding principles across the business. What We Are Looking For You will be a highly skilled bid writing professional with a passion for creating winning submissions and building strong stakeholder relationships. A minimum of five years' experience writing and producing complex, high-value tenders and proposals, ideally within the Water sector Strong knowledge of best-practice bidding principles and compliance requirements. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight deadlines. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical experts and business leaders. A proactive, self-motivated approach and commitment to continuous improvement. APMP accreditation or similar qualifications will be highly regarded. What We Offer Flexible working environment.
