CRT (0.6) / Targeted Literacy and Numeracy Intervention (0.4) Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 20/07/2026, End Date: 11/12/2026 (Potential overstaffing) Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts Staffing Incentive Allowance We are searching for a versatile, enthusiastic, and reliable classroom release teacher (CRT) to join our team on a fixed‑term basis for 3 days per week. In this role, you will provide high‑quality teaching coverage across various year levels, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment while our full‑time teachers undertake their professional release time. You will need to be flexible, multi‑task, and willing to shape learning experiences to meet the strengths and interests of tamariki, provided these support their engagement in learning. This role can also be combined as a literacy and numeracy intervention teacher for 2 days a week, resulting in a fixed‑term, full‑time position for the remainder of the academic year. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging lessons: Implement pre‑planned lessons effectively or develop adaptive, engaging activities that align with the curriculum and suit a diverse range of age groups. Classroom management: Maintain positive behaviour management strategies consistent with our school values to ensure a safe, focused, and inclusive learning environment. Adaptability: Smoothly transition between different classrooms and year levels (from junior to senior primary), quickly building rapport with students. Qualifications and Experience Registration: Must hold a current NZ teaching registration and practising certificate. Experience: Prior experience teaching in New Zealand primary schools (experience in multi‑level or rural classrooms is a distinct advantage) preferred, but we may consider a beginning teacher with strong references. Skills: Strong communication skills, excellent classroom management, and a flexible, "can‑do" attitude. A strength in Health and PE, the arts, or science and technology would be advantageous.
