About the Role As a registered nurse, you will play a valuable role in the multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include key-working, risk assessment, building of treatment plans, administration of medication, and occasionally the delivery of therapeutic groups. You will work alongside other mental health professionals to provide client centred, trauma informed care. Please click here to view the position description About the Team/Service/ Location Our team consists of nurses (enrolled and registered nurses), psychiatric assistants, a social worker, occupational therapist and our inpatient psychiatrists and registrars. For more information on living and working in Taranaki click here About you Successful candidates will have: A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) in New Zealand Experience in, and passion for, working with whai ora experiencing significant mental health distress Minimum of 2 years experience in the Mental Health sector Adept skills at building rapport, assessing risk and assisting to whai ora to build wellness plans Exceptional interpersonal, communication & relationship building skills Flexibility to work autonomously as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team Understanding and application of the principles of the treaty of Waitangi, with a culturally safe and appropriate approach to practice Display enthusiasm to embrace new ideas and innovative thinking towards service delivery.
