We now have an opportunity for a Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to drive automation, modernisation, and engineering excellence across our cloud and infrastructure platforms. What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga As a Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing our cloud and infrastructure platforms through automation, modern engineering practices, and technical leadership. This is a hands‑on, senior‑level position focused on designing, building, and operating secure, reliable, and scalable hybrid infrastructure across AWS & VMware environments. Working closely with the Cloud & Infrastructure Team Lead and Network Lead, you will drive infrastructure transformation initiatives, including the migration to Terraform, the development of reusable Infrastructure as Code solutions, and the onboarding of on‑premise and network assets into automated frameworks. You will champion DevOps practices, simplify and standardise deployment patterns, integrate infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines, and reduce manual operational effort through automation. Alongside delivering technical outcomes, you will mentor and uplift engineering capability across cloud, infrastructure, and network teams, fostering a collaborative, cross‑functional engineering culture. About You | Mōu Success in this role requires deep hands‑on engineering expertise, a delivery‑first mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to independently lead complex infrastructure initiatives while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, operable, and aligned with industry best practices. You will bring strong experience across AWS & VMware environments, with a proven ability to deliver infrastructure automation and transformation outcomes within complex hybrid environments. Your expertise will include Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CI/CD pipeline development, and automation through Python scripting, combined with a pragmatic approach to solving technical challenges and driving continuous improvement. Experience with networking technologies, including Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco core switching, and Cisco Meraki SD‑WAN, will be highly regarded. Above all, you will be a collaborative and influential engineer who enjoys sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and helping teams adopt modern engineering practices to deliver better outcomes.
