Ranui Generation Limited is an independent New Zealand renewable energy developer and asset owner committed to delivering high-quality solar generation projects that support New Zealand’s transition to a low-carbon future. Our flagship project, the 40 MWp Taranaki Solar Farm, represents a significant investment in regional renewable energy infrastructure and will provide clean electricity to thousands of New Zealand homes and businesses. About the Project The Taranaki Solar Farm is a 40 MWp utility‑scale solar development including civil works, PV installation, MV/HV infrastructure, substation construction and grid connection works. Project delivery and document management will be undertaken through Procore as the primary construction management platform. The Opportunity Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Engineer will support delivery from construction commencement through to commissioning and energisation. In addition to engineering coordination and document management responsibilities, the role will support construction contract administration, consultant coordination, construction instructions, technical correspondence and project controls. The role is offered as an initial 12‑month fixed‑term contract with potential future opportunities as Ranui Generation expands. Key Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for contractor technical queries. Manage RFIs, technical submittals and engineering workflows. Manage project document control through Procore. Coordinate consultants, contractors and stakeholders. Assist with administration of construction contracts and construction instructions (CIs). Monitor programme progress, risks and delays. Support commissioning, testing and energisation activities. Maintain project records, technical correspondence and decision registers. Support quality management, NCR close‑out and project handover documentation. What We're Looking For Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. 3–5 years’ experience in construction, site engineering or project engineering roles. Exposure to HV/MV infrastructure, substations, renewable energy or major infrastructure projects. Proven experience managing RFIs, technical submittals and engineering document workflows. 3–5 years’ experience using Procore or equivalent construction management software. Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills. Eligibility to work in New Zealand. Highly Desirable Experience on utility‑scale solar, BESS, wind or electrical infrastructure projects. Exposure to contract administration, construction instructions (CIs), variation management and consultant coordination. Familiarity with NZ electrical standards and WorkSafe requirements. Experience in owner‑side, principal contractor or EPC delivery environments. Progress toward or completion of CPEng registration. Be part of one of New Zealand’s most significant utility‑scale solar developments. Work directly with the project owner and gain exposure across the full project lifecycle. Develop experience in renewable energy, substations and grid connection projects. Competitive salary package of NZD $95,000 – $120,000 depending on experience. Vehicle allowance or company vehicle to be negotiated as part of the remuneration package. Project‑related travel and accommodation expenses provided where applicable.
