Job Description
Court Registry Officer, Dunedin District Court / Otago Region – Permanent Full Time Overview We are looking for a talented individual to join our District Court as a Court Registry Officer in the Criminal team at Dunedin. Responsibilities Facilitate the running of the court (court taking), including introducing Judges in English and Te Reo Maori, working closely with them in the courtroom and chambers, managing jurors and general administration of the court. Ensure that the judiciary and case parties have all the information they need and that logistics are in place to ensure cases are heard in a timely and effortless manner. Interact with customers on any court‑related matter through face‑to‑face, phone or email interactions, providing confident customer service. Skills & Experience Full clean NewZealand driving licence. Detail oriented and observant – handle many processes and case information accurately. Self‑aware – work confidently both individually and as part of a team across a range of situations. Multi‑task – manage conflicting priorities and move from one task to another quickly. Willingness to learn new legislation and court processes as they change. Resilience – work on sensitive cases and handle high volume work.
