Grow market share across trade, industrial and commercial customers Established accounts plus new business opportunities Excellent package including vehicle and ongoing development An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Account Manager to join a well-established national business supplying essential products and solutions to trade, industrial and commercial customers across New Zealand. This role offers the opportunity to manage an established portfolio of customers while identifying new business opportunities and developing long-term partnerships throughout the South Island. Supported by a respected brand, you'll play a key role in helping customers find practical solutions that keep their businesses operating efficiently. With regular travel throughout the Northern South Island region, this position provides a balance of customer-facing activity, territory management and home-based administration. You'll enjoy autonomy in your day-to-day work while being backed by a knowledgeable and supportive team. The Role In this position, you'll be responsible for managing existing customer relationships, developing new business opportunities and growing market share across the South Island territory. Key responsibilities include: Managing and growing an established portfolio of customers across the trade, industrial and commercial sectors Building strong relationships with business owners, workshop managers, operations managers, procurement teams and key decision-makers Identifying opportunities for account growth and new customer acquisition Conducting regular customer visits and territory planning activities Providing product recommendations and tailored solutions to meet customer requirements Preparing quotations, pricing proposals and sales agreements Working closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer outcomes Monitoring market activity, competitor movements and industry trends Achieving sales targets while maintaining exceptional customer service standards About You You are a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, solving customer challenges and developing long-term business partnerships. You are commercially minded, organised and confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
