Little Peppertree is a well-established, family-owned preschool that has been part of the Rangiora community for over 20 years. We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic registered teacher who enjoys leading by example. You will support, mentor and inspire a small team of dedicated kaiako while ensuring high-quality care and education for our tamariki. As a relationship-focused leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the centre and for fostering strong partnerships with children, whānau and the wider community. Our centre is licensed for 25 children aged 2–5 years, allowing us to build genuine relationships and provide a calm, homely environment. We are proud of our spacious natural playgrounds, regular excursions, strong whānau and community connections, meaningful daily programme, and our commitment to Enviroschools. This is a permanent position of 32–40 hours per week, over five days, with flexibility in hours between 8.00am and 4.30pm. You will have: A current practising certificate with the New Zealand Teaching Council. Proven leadership skills or the desire and capability to step into a leadership role. Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki and high-quality teaching practice. The ability to plan, assess and document children's learning. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
