About the Role As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic cardiac ultrasound services within our Cardiology Department. Working across inpatient and outpatient settings, you will perform and report echocardiograms, providing accurate and timely diagnostic information that supports exceptional patient care and clinical decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and supportive cardiology service where your expertise will directly contribute to improving patient outcomes. You'll work alongside Cardiologists, Clinical Physiologists, Nurses, and other health professionals in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, while enjoying a diverse workload that may include providing services across Hastings, Napier, Central Hawke's Bay, and Wairoa. Please click here to view the position description About the Team/Service/Location Our Cardiology Service is dedicated to delivering specialist cardiac care to the people of Hawke's Bay. As part of a multidisciplinary team, we provide comprehensive diagnostic and clinical services focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for patients and whānau. Based at Hastings Hospital, you'll join a highly skilled and supportive team committed to clinical excellence, continuous improvement, and providing equitable access to cardiovascular care across the region. About you As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be a highly skilled and patient-focused practitioner who is committed to delivering excellence in cardiac imaging. New Zealand registration and a current Annual Practising Certificate with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB). A recognised cardiac ultrasound qualification and the ability to independently perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms. Strong clinical judgement and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic reports. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
