Job Overview Part‑time, fixed‑term (12‑month) Registered Nurse position in the Kea Inpatient Ward, reporting to the Charge Nurse. The RN will provide pre‑ and post‑operative nursing care to adults and paediatric patients across our 37‑bed ward (Kahikatea and Nīkau wings). About Braemar Hospital Braemar Hospital is a prestigious private surgical hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand, supporting nearly 200 specialists and providing a full range of surgical specialties. Responsibilities Deliver pre‑ and post‑operative nursing care for adult and paediatric patients. Collaborate with surgeons, allied health professionals and fellow nurses to provide high‑quality, patient‑centred care. Support the ward’s operating as a cohesive team and enhance cooperation and teamwork. Apply systematic assessment skills and maintain an organised, methodical approach. Demonstrate enthusiasm and a patient‑centric focus, ensuring the highest level of attention. Communicate clearly and professionally while remaining calm in a dynamic environment. Work rostered and rotating shifts, including weekends and nights, with flexibility. Qualifications Prior experience in surgical ward nursing, preferably in a private hospital. Experience in Orthopaedics and ENT preferred. Current New Zealand Nursing Registration (APC). Ideally at least 3 years surgical experience in Orthopaedics or ENT specialty.
