Laboratory Technician

Laboratory Technician – Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital Permanent, Full Time, 80 hours per fortnight (1 FTE). 10am to 7pm Monday to Friday with inclusion in a weekend roster covering Saturday mornings. About the Role As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of accurate and timely diagnostic services. You’ll be responsible for receiving, processing, and preparing patient samples, ensuring all specimens meet quality and laboratory standards before analysis. This hands‑on and detail‑focused role requires working in a fast‑paced environment, balancing multiple priorities to meet turnaround times. You’ll also contribute to maintaining equipment, managing workload, and ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols. The team provides opportunities for skill development and continuous improvement.
