Position Title: Academic Staff Member – Nursing Location: Rotorua Team: Nursing Position Type: Fixed Term Full-Time We are seeking a registered nursing professional and passionate educator to join our Nursing team. This role will primarily teach and support ākonga across Year Two and Year Three nursing programmes, with a focus on community health, primary health care, wellbeing, and clinical practicum experiences. Working closely with nursing colleagues and clinical partners, you will deliver high-quality teaching, support learners in both classroom and clinical settings, and assist the Clinical Placement Lead to secure and maintain quality community-based placement opportunities. Deliver teaching, assessment and learning activities. Provide clinical supervision and practicum support. Support ākonga achievement and pastoral care. Undertake marking and academic administration. Assist with securing community health placements. You bring: Current NZ Registered Nurse practising certificate. Recent experience in community or primary health nursing. Strong clinical teaching or mentoring capability. Excellent communication and relationship skills. Commitment to learner success and equity outcomes.
