Qualified and Registered Early Childhood Educator (Experienced) Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 17/08/2026, End Date: 20/08/2027 (Maternity Leave Cover) Early learning / kōhanga reo, Certificated teacher Bilingual and culturally inclusive: English, Te reo Māori, Te Reo Māori, Te Reo Pākehā, Belonging / Mana Whenua, Contribution / Mana Tangata, Communication / Mana Reo, Exploration / Mana Aotūroa, Well-being / Mana Atua We are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing teacher to join our fantastic team at Awapuni Early Learners (AEL). Every child, whānau, and kaiako is welcomed, valued and respected. To be successful in this role, you will have: Experience working in an early childhood education setting. A recognised qualification in early childhood education and current registration with the NZ Teaching Council. Inclusive teaching practice that supports the learning and wellbeing of all tamariki. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills. A collaborative, fun‑loving approach, and a positive, professional attitude. A genuine passion for working with children aged 3–6‑year olds. Understanding of the importance of responsive, respectful relationships and child‑led learning.
