National Manager, Te Aka Taumatua Full time, Permanent Flexible office location across Aotearoa New Zealand Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is seeking an exceptional educational leader to lead Te Aka Taumatua, our growing reo rua/bilingual provision supporting ākonga to learn through te reo Māori and within te ao Māori. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of kaupapa Māori education within New Zealand's largest school and distance education provider. Te Aka Taumatua currently supports more than 1,200 ākonga across Aotearoa and continues to grow as a distinct and important part of Te Kura's commitment to bilingual and immersion education. As National Manager, Te Aka Taumatua (Reorua-ā-motu), you will provide educational leadership for the provision, with responsibility for curriculum delivery, teaching practice, learner success, and ongoing strategic development. Working alongside Regional Managers and senior leaders, you will help shape organisational direction while maintaining accountability for this nationally significant kaupapa. We are looking for a leader who brings exceptional fluency in te reo Māori, a strong grounding in tikanga and mātauranga Māori, and a passion for achieving excellent outcomes for ākonga. You will have proven experience leading teaching and learning, ideally within Māori-medium, bilingual, or immersion settings, and a demonstrated ability to grow people, strengthen practice, and build strong relationships with whānau, iwi, and educational partners. This permanent, full-time position may be based from any Te Kura office across Aotearoa New Zealand. Given the national scope of the role, regular travel will be required. In return, you'll join a genuine Te Ao Māori environment where the kaupapa runs deep, while enjoying flexible working arrangements, wellbeing initiatives, and professional development opportunities. If you're ready to lead, inspire and shape the future of bilingual and immersion learning at Te Kura, we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
