Senior Structural Engineer - Hamilton WSP is a global professional services firm that powers communities through engineering, design, and advisory solutions. This role offers the chance to deliver high‑quality structural engineering on diverse Property & Buildings projects in Hamilton. Role In this role, you’ll lead the design and delivery of structural projects while supporting the growth of our capability and client relationships. Lead the planning, design and delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to construction Produce and review designs, calculations and contract documentation to a high standard Manage project delivery, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget and to quality expectations Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contributing to business development and future opportunities Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and support seamless project delivery Provide mentoring and guidance to junior engineers, supporting their development Apply innovative thinking to solve complex engineering challenges and deliver practical outcomes Contribute to a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and technical excellence About You A BE (Structural) or equivalent (Washington Accord) CPEng (Structural) or equivalent 8+ years’ experience within structural engineering Strong design capability across a range of building structures (steel, concrete, timber) Solid understanding of NZ standards, seismic design and construction practices Proven experience managing projects, budgets and client relationships A collaborative approach, with the ability to influence and lead within multidisciplinary teams Strong communication skills and a client‑centric mindset Commitment to mentoring and supporting others’ growth We welcome applications from qualified candidates and encourage diversity.
