Job Description
Overview Processing Officers are responsible for sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels and freight at the Strathallan Street branch. This role supports the delivery operations of New Zealand Post and is a fixed‑term position of 12 months. Key Responsibilities Sort and consolidate parcels and freight. Prepare parcels for dispatch to couriers. Assist in loading and unloading containers. Maintain a clean and secure work area. Follow all health and safety procedures. Shifts and Hours Shift 1: Sun midnight – 7am; Tue & Wed 4.30am – 7am; Sat 4am – 7am. Shift 2: Sun 9am – 1.45pm and acting as Charge Hand; Mon 3.30am – 7am; Tue 4.30am – 7am. Shift 3: Sun 1.30pm – 6pm and acting as Charge Hand; Wed – Fri 4.30am – 10am. Benefits and Development Learning and development opportunities to support career goals.
