Health Records Associate, Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital Permanent /Full-Time 80 Hours Per Fortnight 1 FTE. About the Role As a Health Records Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate management, maintenance and accessibility of patient health records across Health New Zealand | Te Matau a Māui Hawkes Bay. Your work will help support safe, efficient and high‑quality patient care by ensuring clinical teams have access to the information they need when they need it. This is a varied role where you'll be involved in preparing clinic records, maintaining patient files, tracking and managing health records, providing administrative support, and delivering excellent customer service. Working closely with a wide range of healthcare professionals, you'll be an important part of a service that underpins the smooth operation of healthcare delivery across the organisation. About the Team/Service/Location Our Health Records team provides an essential service that supports clinicians, patients and healthcare services across Hawke's Bay. The team is responsible for the secure management and administration of patient information, ensuring records are accurate, accessible and maintained to the highest standards of confidentiality and compliance. Based in Hawke's Bay, you'll join a supportive team environment that values collaboration, professionalism and continuous improvement. About You You will be organized, customer‑focused and committed to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in a fast‑paced healthcare environment. Previous administrative, clerical or customer service experience, ideally within a health‑related setting. Strong communication skills, including a professional telephone manner and the ability to build positive relationships. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and data. A collaborative approach with the flexibility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. A commitment to confidentiality, cultural safety, and providing high‑quality customer service.
