This opportunity will be responsible for: Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality mobile experiences for our customers, leveraging modern engineering practices and architecture principles. Provide technical leadership across mobile development, ensuring high standards of quality, security, performance, and maintainability. Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Designers, Test Engineers, Developers, and stakeholders within a fully cross-functional Agile squad to deliver outstanding customer outcomes. Take ownership of technical outcomes, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement. Support and uplift the mobile engineering practice through mentoring, knowledge sharing, technical leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives. About you: We'll value your proven initiative, problem solving abilities and leadership skills (as we look for every engineer to lead from their position). We advocate agile, fully cross functional teams which will take you through all facets of engineering in any given day. We are looking for a mix of technical skills, including: Leadership and a drive to motivate your team to deliver unbeatable digital experiences Strong proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, Objective‑C, and the iOS SDK Deep understanding of SOLID design principles Experience using Dependency Injection (DI) and Swift Package Manager (SPM) to build modular, testable apps Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON Experience with automated testing (unit/UI testing frameworks like XCTest) Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and Agile delivery methodologies Understanding of iOS architecture patterns such as MVC, MVP, MVVM and VIPER Knowledge of secure coding practices, particularly within financial or regulated environments In addition, the following skills would be an advantage: Bonus points if you have experience developing for both iOS and Android platforms, allowing you to contribute more broadly across our mobile ecosystem. Understanding of communicating ownership and SDLC to relevant stakeholders A passion to listen and improve your knowledge and skills while also willing to help to improve the knowledge and skills of your team and your practice Bonus points if you have experience developing for Android platforms Experience working with automated testing practices and quality engineering approaches Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, delivery‑driven environment Team‑first mindset with a focus on knowledge sharing and supporting others Ability to work proactively and identify risks early Working at ASB: ASB's sense of who we are and what we stand for is grounded in our values.
