About the role We are looking for an HR/Talent Intern to gain broad exposure across both our HR and Talent teams. In this rotational role, you’ll spend time supporting core HR activities as well as end-to-end recruitment, giving you hands‑on experience across the employee lifecycle. You’ll contribute to process improvements and support business‑as‑usual activities. Key responsibilities Assist with reviewing, auditing, and updating position descriptions. Contribute to maintaining and improving HR resources and tools. Explore opportunities to incorporate AI into HR processes and ways of working. Support BAU recruitment activity, including job briefs, CV screening, interview coordination, and offer processes. Contribute to employer branding initiatives, including developing content for social media. Support updates and improvements to Talent‑related pages and resources. About you You’re a confident communicator who isn’t afraid to ask questions, get involved, and take initiative. You’re naturally curious, eager to learn, and interested in how people, processes and recruitment come together in a large organisation. With a proactive mindset and willingness to contribute, you’re keen to build your experience across HR and Talent. You’re currently studying towards, or have recently completed, a qualification in Human Resources, Management, Leadership, Business Communication, Project Management, or a related field. You’ll have a curiosity to learn, a knack for problem solving and be ready to get stuck in to making a positive impact on New Zealand communities. You’ll ideally be interested in one of the above areas listed and in our application form, you’ll have the opportunity to indicate your preferred roles (you don’t necessarily need to be studying something that is aligned). Our internship programme offers 12‑weeks paid work at living wage starting in November based in Māngere, Auckland. Renowned learning and development sessions fortnightly.
