This full‑time, on‑site role offers a fixed‑term engagement (ending 1July2027) with the potential for permanent placement. Key Responsibilities Assist with staff management and day‑to‑day coordination of contractors. Milking 600 cows through a 50‑bale rotary shed with cup removers, auto‑drafting and in‑shed feeding at ThorntonPark. Milking 350 cows through a 32‑a‑side herringbone shed with auto‑drafting at Innesmoor. Feeding out and operating virtual break fencing. Recording and documenting all farm activities. Weed control and farm maintenance. Tractor work and other farm tasks as required. Ensure vehicles and sheds are maintained to a high standard and support timely property improvements. Support strategic farm decisions. Assist farm management with animal health and welfare requirements. Maintain accurate records of stock, animal health treatments, grazing records and effluent management. Comply with the Health & Safety in Employment Act and environmental regulations. Qualifications & Experience Solid understanding of NewZealand farming practices. Physically fit with sound machinery and stock handling skills. Full NewZealand driver’s licence. Strong communication and relationship‑building skills. Level4 Agriculture ITO qualification or higher is advantageous. Adaptable, quick‑thinking and willing to adopt new technology.
