This role leads the day-to‑day transport operations at the Linfox Hamilton DC site, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient delivery outcomes. You will drive performance across safety, service, and financial targets while leading drivers, loaders, and subcontractors in a fast‑paced environment. Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 5:30AM to 2:00PM Key areas: Lead a safe working environment by identifying hazards, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with Linfox policies and New Zealand transport legislation. Manage day‑to‑day transport operations including rostering, fleet utilisation, load planning, and response to operational issues. Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships while managing service delivery and escalation of issues. Lead, coach and support drivers, loaders and subcontractors to achieve performance, safety and behavioural expectations. Monitor and report on KPIs including DIFOT, utilisation and cost performance while identifying improvement opportunities. Deliver financial and operational outcomes by optimising transport plans, reducing waste, and maintaining service standards. Are you the one? You are an experienced transport or logistics supervisor who can confidently lead teams in a fast‑paced, shift‑based environment. You bring strong operational knowledge and a focus on safety, service delivery and performance outcomes. Experience in transport, logistics or a similar operational environment with supervisory responsibility. Proven experience leading drivers, operational teams and/or subcontractors including rostering and performance management. Strong knowledge of transport scheduling, route planning, fleet utilisation and general freight operations, including load restraint. Experience using transport management systems including sign‑on‑glass compliance (SAP experience advantageous). Sound understanding of New Zealand transport laws, safety standards and operational compliance requirements. Ability to perform in a fast‑paced, shift environment where priorities change and clear communication is required.
