The Opportunity Our client is a well-established Hamilton law firm with a strong reputation across commercial, property and private client law. With a loyal client base and continued growth across the practice, the firm is looking to welcome a Commercial and/or Property Lawyer to its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys working closely with clients and wants exposure to a broad range of commercial and property matters. You'll work with businesses, developers, investors, rural clients and private individuals, gaining hands‑on experience and building trusted client relationships from an early stage. The team prides itself on being approachable, collaborative and genuinely invested in the development of its people. Lawyers are encouraged to take ownership of their matters, grow their technical expertise and build their own professional profile, while having the support of experienced lawyers and directors around them. The Role You’ll be involved in a wide variety of work, including commercial property transactions, leasing, subdivisions and developments, banking and finance matters, business acquisitions and sales, and general commercial advisory work. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients, take on increasing responsibility as your experience grows, and develop into a trusted adviser within the practice. About You You’ll ideally have at least 2 years’ PQE in New Zealand commercial and/or property law, with experience across a range of commercial, property or related matters.
